I Pulled the Trigger on the Shoemoney System

by J. on January 26, 2010

That’s right, I did it.

I drank the kool-aid.

Shoemoney released his latest product, the Shoemoney System and I ate it right up.

I wasn’t one of the first 100 eager beavers, but after several hours of “should I or shouldn’t I,” and after really weighing the potential value versus the initial and on-going investment, I had to pull the trigger.

I have to admit, I have been following Shoemoney’s blog for at least 6 months now, but I have no actual experience in the field of making money online.  That makes this little endeavor quite a leap of faith for me.

I know people talk about making money online, but  I don’t know if these people are really making any money.  Sometimes it seems like the only people who do make money are shady at best, criminals at worst.  This is just my opinion from an outside point-of-view.

So why did I go with the Shoemoney System?  A combination of authority and reputation on his part and timing for me.

Shoemoney is one of the biggest names in the arena of making money online.  I know this because I know who he is and I know what he does.

That’s kind of a weird thing to say, but as I said, I have no experience making money online.  I just happened to stumble across his blog (from god knows where, but he’s got some reach) and I liked his no-B.S. attitude and the ingenuity he uses to make money so I stuck around.  This is why I feel reasonably comfortable investing $2400 to learn what he has to teach.

Besides, he has a lot more to lose (his reputation) if this thing sucks.  Word would spread quickly and he’d find it difficult to make future sales.  I doubt he’d be willing to let that happen.

And if it does suck, I have 60 days to bail on it, but I am sure that if I follow the program as laid out, the return on my investment will be significant.  Skeptical or not, I know this guy knows how to make money.

There’s also the matter of timing.  I am at the point right now where I can either take a career that I don’t enjoy “to the next level” (that level being middle management-vomit) or I can choose the path that would allow me to live the kind of life I want to live.  I am not certain where the latter path will lead, but it is much more appealing to me than the predictable 40 years of 9-5.

I have no real responsibilities (wife, kids, mortgage etc)so right now I am able to attack this thing and really give it a go.  I am going to build a business out of this and its going to become the launching pad for a lot of excellent things in my future.

I still hold a quite a bit of skepticism towards the whole making money online thing, but nestled somewhere deep in all that skepticism is hope.  I guess we’ll see where this takes us.  And over the next 12 months I will share all of my experiences with the Shoemoney System.
