You may have heard of the Niche Rivalry that was started by a couple of Keyword Academy members, Wes and Quin. They not only came up with this idea, but they also invited others to participate.
After getting back into things after the holiday festivities, I thought “What the hell, I’ll give it a go.” I got all excited about it, bought a domain in the niche they were in, and then said “Hey guys, I bought this domain and I’m ready to go.” Big fail on my part, because I missed the fact that everyone should be coming up with a rivalry in a different niche. I’m a dope.
Lucky for me & the $10 I spent on the domain – they were cool about it and welcomed me into the fray anyway. If you’re thinking about joining though, don’t make the same mistake I did. Find a buddy or two, come up with a niche, and battle it out.
Anyway, the niche we’re in is “kitchen gadgets.” I’m going to build out the site a bit, and then write a post revealing my site, and why I chose the domain name.

I just saw Wes’s site for the first time; the design is slick and he’s way ahead in the content creation. This is going to be quite a battle!
